Hi there cool human,
Welcome to The Creative Sprint (TCS)! Technically, TCS is much more than a newsletter, this is just one of the ways we’re excited to connect with you.
The Creative Sprint is a vibrant creative incubator where artists and change-makers come together to bring transformative ideas to life. Through our intentionally designed programming, we’ll hold visionaries accountable to get their ideas out of their minds and into the world, where others can be positively impacted by their gifts. At the time of writing this post, TCS beta cohort is halfway through the program and we’re honestly all blown away at how sacred of an experience it’s turning out to be.
Although this incubator is technically launching later this spring, I wanted to brief you on how this all came to be now, while things are still being worked out on the backend.
Simply put, this idea feels like it was divinely planted in my mind a year and a half ago.
Let me set the scene.
I was in the thick of editing my first book Build It and They Will Come: A Guide to Architecting Intentional Community and was approaching one of my deadlines. At some point it dawned on me that I needed to “lock in”. My routine and overall habits weren’t the best, so I decided to commit to doing everything with 100% full effort for 12-weeks. I called this a creative sprint. A few of my friends were also inspired to do the same for their respective projects.
Along the way I couldn’t help but acknowledge how powerful I felt, and everyone else who joined in shared that they were feeling the same; and it was during this window of time that the idea for this community struck me. I remember reflecting on how different the world would be if everyone just locked into a creative sprint.
What art would exist that isn’t already out? How much better would people who are repressing their creativity feel on the other side of their artistic release?
I documented a few weeks of my sprint on instagram!
I wanted to take action on this aha-moment back in 2023, but I was already deep in the throes of editing the book and didn’t have the bandwidth to start anything else. Now, here we are, about the enter April 2025 and I finally have the energy to pour into this initiative.
Y’all, I have so many visions for what this will eventually be.
Here’s a glimpse into what i’m thinking:
The multi-week virtual incubator experience
IRL creative retreats
Written artist interviews (that will be featured here)
In-person panel interviews with some of our fave creators at conferences
Grants to help support artists secure supplies/resources for their projects
Creative dinners
TCS Podcast
Merch
and so much more!!!!!
I just wanted to offer you this insight because according to my human design I’m supposed to take on the strategy of informing (i’m a manifestor lol) before I initiate, so this is my attempt to do just that.
More importantly, I’m just really really excited for what’s to come.
It took years for me to recover from burnout and to be honest, I wasn’t sure I’d ever feel the way I am right now again. The fact that I am is a sign that this is exactly what I’m meant to be doing.
Just know that it means the world to me that you’ve decided to join me here.
Sincerely,
Cat, a gal tryin’ her best
